Qu’est-ce que la poudre Alpha lipoïque?

L’acide lipoïque, également connu sous le nom d’alpha lipoïque (α-LA), de formule moléculaire C8H14O2S2, est un cristal poudré jaune pâle, presque inodore. La solubilité dans l’eau est petite, environ 1 g/L (20℃). Soluble dans la solution de NaOH de 10%, Soluble dans les solvants aliphatiques. Soluble dans le méthanol, l’éthanol, le chloroforme et l’éther. L’acide lipoïque a un centre chiral et a donc des configurations R et S. L’acide lipoïque naturel est un cristal blanc avec seulement la configuration R, et seule la configuration R de l’acide lipoïque peut s’apposer covalemment aux résidus de lysine par des liaisons amide pour fonctionner comme une coenzyme. L’acide lipoïque synthétique, par contre, est un mélange à proportion égale des configurations R et S et est une poudre jaunâtre très soluble dans les solvants à base de lipides.
