    Spiruline est une sorte de cyanobactérie filamenteuse procaryotique oxygénée photosynthétiquement, en forme de spirale, riche en protéines (en particulier les protéines cyanobacterial), polysaccharides, acides gras insaturés, pigments et autres nutriments et substances physiologiquement actives.
